New Design, New Catch Phrase!

This  weekend  I worked on  cleaning up the blog a bit. As much as I like the notebook template  for some reason I just  felt that I needed a fresh  look here and I do hope you like the new template I have going on in my blog. I am the type that likes pastel looking colors and I  actually love flowers too and the color pink hence I  decided to  go with this three  column  blog template.  I moved a  bit of things around on there but I actually felt it was more brighter and cleaner and a bit more organized. It seems easier to work with too. The template did take out my Facebook comments section but I also felt that facebook comment thing was giving  it an issue and it wasn't as active so  I am not adding it it back on . However,with the new look I think this has a better flower to it and I love the gal on there, this would be  represent me in a way which is why I picked this layout. I know its a bit girlie but I am the girlie type as well since I pretty much a kid at heart and likes all sorts of cute stuff especially stuff animals. :)

New Shop Opening up!

As I was  saying last month I was  reinventing my site at Storenvy.   I  pretty much have imported most of Etsy store items there This are the same as my Etsy store. So this gives  everyone another option to shop  from my products. My blog has  been updated as well  to reflect both stores and on Facebook I will try to post both links of Etsy and Storenvy  when possible this way  at your convenience you can go to which one you feel is  comfortable.

Creating Christmas Labels

When I first started my shop,  I had friend that  created my  original Joie Joelle  labels.  They turned out   gorgeous and  I really loved how  she did my labels.  Unfortunately, she got more busy and  I  had to find a way  to make them myself. Well, thanks to my cousin Jon , he  suggested  me to learn pPhotoshop!  Last month,  I went up to see him so I could learn a few lessons.  When I first started learning everything, it did feel overwhelming.  I had to actually call my cousin a few times  when I felt stuck.  Thank goodness he was there to teach me even more.  After constantly practicing  the labels, my first  batch was  ok.  However, I didn't like the patterns as much and started  looking for different  ones.   Hence after all the learning patterns , fonts and brushes I am getting the hang of all of this stuff and I am so impressed  with what I have done for myself.  I feel each time I  learn something  new and  I am able to  improve it , that I feel more accomplished for what I can learn on my own. So here are the labels  coming out, below you will see the candle labels I created for this holiday season  :)  It's nice to  make a  change and get in the spirit of the holidays.
