Shop Feature: Some Kind of Pretty

This week's shop feature  is called Some Kind of Pretty by Catheryn Dallenbach. She  makes handmade jewelry from  earrings, bracelets, necklaces, rings and so much more. I love the pumpkin earrings, those are pretty  cute and  just right in season too  :)  Read  below to get to know  more  about her and her shop :)

1. How did you come up with the Name of your Shop
-The name of my shop was by accident. The name I originally had in mind was already taken on Etsy. So I just played around with words until I got Some Kind of Pretty! I love it! It also reminds me of a song...Some Kind of Wonderful.

2. Tell us a little bit about your shop and what you think makes it unique?
-I dabble in a few styles, but I was always tend to make pieces that are everyday wearable. My pieces also have a bit of humor to them. I try to maintain a sense of femininity and simplicity in each piece, while also making it bright and fun.

Shop Feature : Calluna Muse + Giveaway

https://img1.etsystatic.com/026/0/35746024/icm_fullxfull.31479187_n38nk51l5yosg4s40sk0.jpg

This weeks Shop feature is Calluna Muse by Heather. She  designs  some wonderful earrings using  beads and Nymo nylon thread.  Pretty neat if you ask me.  Heather  has been  kind  enough to  give a  pair of lovely   earrnigs  from her shop as well.  But first, lets  get to know more about her and her lovely work! :)

1. How did you come up with the Name of your Shop

I am named after a flower, Heather, and the

Latin term is Calluna Vulgaris. So, I dropped

the Vulgaris (for obvious reasons, yikes!) and added

Muse because I've always loved the idea of

a 'muse'.

2. Tell us a little bit about your shop and what you think makes it unique?

I wanted it to be a different take on beaded

jewelry. I've done it all my life and I was

looking for a modern feel. Some

new designs and a different twist on older designs. I think it has a nice

feel between being on par with current

trends but also allowing you to be

unique and maybe also start your

own trends! And who doesn't want

to be a trendsetter!

Feburary Valentine Sampler box

Sampler boxes are so much fun to get! I always  get a regular sampler box for turning in 100 samples from Out of the box Sampler but part of the reason I do  the 100 samples  is because I actually like to see what is out there that other people make. I also like to see what other packaging  ideas there are that people do. Regardless,  I enjoy   all the samples I get every time.  For this month Out of the box Sampler decided  to use a tote bag  for their bodacious  sampler box which I thought was really neat!  Their bigger box is awesome  because   you are guarantee to get every sampler from everyone that is donating for the month.  I tend to  buy the biggest box for myself and have Michelle mail out my free regular sampler  box to a friend   just to brighten  up some one's day. I like putting a smile on people's faces :)
