The Success Collection

Oh yes I absolutely love this  Treasury I landed  on this month. Just look at the title itself!  Yay for the Success Collection. I cant believe how creative  people are being  in making their  items. And the treasury is totally inspiring for me.   My Mini  Money Success candles  landed  in the treasury as you can see here  but I like the  jewelry there, I think my favorite  on there  is the brown  necklace on the bottom right hand corner. Christmas decorations

This year I actually got up my Christmas stuff on time so I thought I show you what I bring out each year. I will say part of the reason I get pushed  to decorate my  place slightly  is because of St.Christopher. He loves Christmas, its his favorite  holiday of the year. Not to mention that  I can see his spirit, and every time the holidays come he seems to  pop out his Santa Suit... well he is adorable as always  if he was  physically alive I probably  hug him all the time :)

Don't Trust the USPS

This weekend  provided  me  some laughter  from the USPS.  If you are  planning  to ship any gifts to  your loved ones  this year, please  consider insuring your boxes. While my Etsy  shop has  open for only a half year,  I have  run across   a lot  of things the  USPS  has  done and it doesn't matter what service  you are choosing whether its media mail, first class rate, or priority mail, some how  something happens to my packages  sooner or later.   Hence, I have  learned  that no matter what the price  of the item is, I  need to  have it fully covered just in case. I know that  shipping cost can be high with insurance  but  for just a bit more  it provides a  added protection that is needed.  If you  are running a shop or planning   to mail stuff  to your  love  ones this holiday please spend that extra money to get insurance, you will fill better knowing that   you are covered.

Thanksgiving Recap

 Each year for Thanksgiving, I need to drive up to my dad's house as my Uncle David  always seems to  throw a Thanksgiving  party at his house. I always arrive the  night  to prepare things  for Thanksgiving day.  Of course,  these last two years,  I have  learned to make the  turkey.  Usually , my mom  does the  turkey but  since mom passed away  last year, I have  taken over  learning how to do it myself.  Now I must  admit,  last year  it was  an experimentation  turkey but I managed to make it just right.  I was a bit nervous doing  the first one but who wouldn't be right?  My dad told me last year "  If mom was  here, she would have  not let you bring an experiment turkey."  So yes, that might be true as my mom likes to make sure her dishes are  perfect  but for me,   I am different I  just flow  with my  cooking and make  them!  My  dad  finds it  entertaining that I am  brave enough to bring  experimenting dishes to parties.  Honesty, I just cook out of love and I seem to have this way  of praying to spirit and asking them to help me make  something delicious. Dad laughs at how I pray to  the universe for my cooking but then I tell him it works! It comes out  pretty tasty and  pretty much close to the recipe the first time.  I might have a  to tweak something  later but I  pretty much  figure it all out by the 2nd or 3rd time I do a  recipe  whether its  cooking or baking.

Think Positive Collection

Another Treasury collection  and I love the  title Think Positive.  When it comes to the  collection,  I love the  rainbow chakra bracelet listed.  It was  one of the  items that  caught my attention a while back and I also have it marked as one of my favorites . Her bracelets actually  look wonderful that I could  wear them on a daily basis.  I did  try  Chakra  bracelets  before  in the  past and they do work.  It really does shift the energy somehow  even  though I am not completely   familiar with the process  of  how it works.

 This time the  my Mini Money Drawing Candle made it into this  treasury. I love many candles,  normally  I light money candles  all the time. I normally do the regular  Money Draw candle and sometimes I will make these mini ones to give it  little  burst to  keep the energy going!   Just make  sure that you  visualize how you will be  receiving  your  money.  The key is to believe what you are casting  and say it with a strong intention. The more  you  believe in your work and allow the universe do its its magic, the more you are  going to what results  you can  produce through your  own personal power from   any of these candles  in  my shop.

Making Herbal Incenses

Last Month, I look a class  on making  homemade herb incenses. I must say that I actually enjoyed it. I love going to classes that are very focused  on doing anything   hands on!  It was great to experience and I love how the feel of the energy which is why I have  decided to make them  for my shop.  One of the things I learned about herbs  is that its all about the experience itself to help me decide  which  herbs works best for me.   I  tend  to always go back to the spiritual store  and take the  opportunity to smell each herb that are in those  jars before I make my purchase. I have learned the smell of the herbs can really give me the feeling  of  whether it will work with my energy.  So any time I want  to try a new herb I take the time smell the scent to see if it flows with me before I make a purchase.

Mom, I love you!

Time really  flies fast,  it just seems that  my mom just passed away  just a few months  but  as of today, it will be one year  since my mom  has left  the earth plane.   While you are reading this today, I will be up visiting her  with my father.  My mom passed away  from breast cancer. She has battled the repeating cancer  for  10 years and it  was so hard on her.  While she is at peace, I can't  imagine   how  much   this has changed me as  the person I am today. Last year, when she passed it was hard.  In fact being psychic for me comes with a price.    If there is one thing that is harder on me it is when  I am able see and feel  a member of my family ready to go to  Heaven.

Creating Christmas Labels

When I first started my shop,  I had friend that  created my  original Joie Joelle  labels.  They turned out   gorgeous and  I really loved how  she did my labels.  Unfortunately, she got more busy and  I  had to find a way  to make them myself. Well, thanks to my cousin Jon , he  suggested  me to learn pPhotoshop!  Last month,  I went up to see him so I could learn a few lessons.  When I first started learning everything, it did feel overwhelming.  I had to actually call my cousin a few times  when I felt stuck.  Thank goodness he was there to teach me even more.  After constantly practicing  the labels, my first  batch was  ok.  However, I didn't like the patterns as much and started  looking for different  ones.   Hence after all the learning patterns , fonts and brushes I am getting the hang of all of this stuff and I am so impressed  with what I have done for myself.  I feel each time I  learn something  new and  I am able to  improve it , that I feel more accomplished for what I can learn on my own. So here are the labels  coming out, below you will see the candle labels I created for this holiday season  :)  It's nice to  make a  change and get in the spirit of the holidays.

Meet Tigger and Yuna

It's time to meet my two adorable cats Tigger and Yuna.   When I   went to  animal shelter  a few years ago my mom, my brother  and I saw  these two together in the same cage. Actually, it was my brother's idea to not separate them as he  thought that it was so cute to find a matching a set of cats.  In fact, it was my brother who also said if we got  both of these cats together then they would keep each other  company. I thought it was sweet how my brother was thoughtful  about keeping them together  like a family. When it came down to paying  for the  two cats, me and my brother decided  to split the bill. I actually paid for Yuna and  my brother  paid for Tigger. Oh yes, there is one more unique thing  you should know about both of my cats, they each have an extra toe on their front paws :Yup, that means they have  6 toes each on the front paws. When  you look closely their front paws  are shaped like  little mittens.  It makes them even more cute because  we didnt know that they had extra toes until they both came home to us. It just makes them the perfect pair together. :)

    A new addition to my shop will be adding  bath  salts! Newest Creation- Don't Worry Be Happy Candle Plus Giveaway

   So after working hard at  making my newest candle, here it is,  It's the Don't Worry  Be  Happy Candle!  Inspired by my guide St.Christopher! He always  says that we  are always strsesed  in today's  world that we  do more worrying and tend to forget how to  be happy or even  get that feeling of happiness back into our life! So this candle is going to be a double color candle.  The  first layer  will be baby blue like the Peace candle and  it will be wrapped with peace loving energies and herbs which is the main issue for most of us.  We cant really be happy if we are are in constant worry  about everything going on in  our lives anyways right?  So the peace energy needs to come in first , making us feel more calm and relaxed, and less worried... Once the peacefulness takes effect , we have the second  layer wrapped around it , which is  going to be  promoting the happiness feeling we so desire to have.  We all want to feel happy and not worry , so the happiness  layer will  give that boost of joy  in your every day life here.   The  whole effect is very nice  when  you  burn these  candles too because  its just nice to have that  feeling of  joy everyday!  I worked hard at making this candle and I do feel  you will like it.  These candles are the in the mini candle sections  but as soon as I can take the pictures  for the bigger candles they will be  put up on my Etsy store.

Sword Art Online Anime

Stepping away  from spirituality a bit I thought I share  a new anime that had recently  came out not too long ago which I  am actually hooked on now. Just so you know  one of my biggest hobbies is anime :)  I love watching  all sort of anime as I pretty  open minded. The  name of this anime is called Sword Art Online.  I actually like the concept of the story and its pretty  easy to relate to.   Are you into video games?  Have  you played MMORPG like Final Fantasy 11, Ever Quest  or WOW (World of Warcraft).  If so, you will be able to relate to this anime. I  love how creative they have gotten with the story itself.  Basically, the story starts introducing us in the world of 2022 where  we now take video games into a  different level, by using  our minds to play games.  The characters are introduced to an item Nerv Gear where to put it on their heads to interact with the game. In episode one, you see how everyone is excited about the new game coming out and  getting  into the game.  It's quite interesting because this anime takes you through learning what MMORPG is so even if you have no idea what   MMORPG is,  it does introduce  you to the concepts of it for a bit.   While it may seem its a bit typical story,  its not. I love the fact that  they get  stuck in the  game  and can't log out.   I love how they basically have to surrive in the game because if they die in  game  then they  will die in real life.

God Story #3

This past Saturday  I went to Michael's to get  some glitter  so I could get ready for the holidays.  Michael's is closer to me than Blick Art. I don't like driving  to downtown. It's just a pain in the butt to look for parking too. However, what Blick excels at is knowledge and pricing but yet again I was too lazy to drive down there.  So on Saturday I went to Michael's and I discovered the glitter was expensive for what they were offering.   I also  asked one of the associates a question in how to work glitter, like if there was a special glue,  but she had absolutely no clue. I did come across Martha Stewart glitter which I loved because I thought the  colors were beautiful but for the price it was expensive.  So after all that debating I told myself another time! I decided all I was going to do was buy this huge laundry bag :) Well out came a 50% coupon for one item of my choice starting on Sunday! I decided I might as well get a sampler set the next day. I also decided to research at home to make sure I knew what kind of glue to buy for the glitter.

Honey spell jar kit

Two weeks, I mentioned that I took a Honey jar spell class. This was actually fun to make. The idea of the having a honey spell jar is attract all that positive in your life. Since honey is sweet , we use honey to sweeten our life so to speak. Inside the honey jar there are stones, magical oil, herbs, a petition paper of what you want to attract into your life and of course honey is poured into the jar as well.

Once the honey jar is completed we close it all up and we light the candle on top of the jar and let the candle burn all the way down. It's important to note that any candle can be used to light on top of the jar. It means you can use votives, tapers, soy based candles or of course beeswax candles. I prefer my beeswax candles since both honey and beeswax are made from bees which gives the unison of energy there.

God Story #2

For this weeks God Story , it actually involves with my current  dentist.  Since last year my dentist  told me that  I needed to  redo my  bridge  on the right side of mouth because it was cracked and there was  no way to  repair  it except to   give me a   brand new one.  A few years back I had paid for this bridge that he did out of my own  pocket  and I paid full price for it  because  I  did not have dental insurance back then.   Well it was time to do the bridge again, which I thought it was unreal and  now that I have dental insurance, it still did not cover the cost of my bridge.

I thought  this week I saw two God stories with you. What is a God story?   A God story is when we focus  on something positive  that has happened for the week.   Many times, we  focus on so much negative  that we don't  see the positive that happens to us.  So to  counter act  the negativity I have trained myself to see   the positive things that happen to me each week.  At the end of each week, I make a habit to see the positive  stuff that I have done or the way the universe has helped me. Manifest The Positive In Your Candle

 Ever wonder how you can  manifest the  positive  in your candle?   Whenever you are doing  any  kind of candle magic, its important that your mind is   clear  of negativity. This is the  first step  that you should  concentrate on. If you aren't having a  good day,  then wait a bit until you feel good and positive  to light the  candle.  It is so important  that we  feel good about   our own self because when we don't  feel  good about ourselves  then it can be more difficult in putting that positive energy out there for  what we are trying to manifest in our life.  The number 1 rule of thumb is to make sure you are in a good mood here and have a positive mind set before beginning  your work.  Just so you know, any  form of negative thinking or feeling can give the slightest chance for the spell candle to be less effective.  The  reason for this is because the person casting the spell does  not believe nor have faith in what they are trying to manifest. Have faith in your spell work.  Believe in your intention. If you are being realistic with your intentions, it shouldn't  be difficult to have that positive thinking and feeling going on within yourself.

Making Sample Candles For Sampler Boxes

Happy Monday  Everyone!  So all last week, I was busy with  family visiting me.  My cousin Jon and girlfriend Lani  came to spend time with me for 3 days.   My  dad also came to visit me  Saturday as well, so I spent some time to do some outlet shopping with him and had a nice  dinner  at Black Angus.  Love those  coupons  they sent out... so worth it!

Anyways,   With all that going on I was still able to get some  work done.  Since July, I started  doing  Love Thyself  Sample   candles for Out of the Box Sampler.  It took me a while to  figure out how  I was going to package the stuff and  get some sort of rhythm in making a total of 100 samples for them.  Gosh I  am glad that I even finished early  on that because I didn't know exactly how long it would have taken me to push out 100 samples... whew! Blog Under Construction

Hi Everyone,

  I thought  I let everyone know that I have been busy in  trying to  find a  unique blog template that works for me. It  took me some time to  actually find a  template I actually liked. I did  think the Teddy and Bunny one I had was  very cute but I wanted to go  with a more beautiful yet professional  looking one, so I am in  mist of  keeping this  new template of a notepad on here. I love  the elegance it has where it has a nice  blend  of  colors and it seems easy to read too.  Since I am new to  blogging  its going to take me some more time for me to study on up on it  and tweak it the way I  feel will work for me as well look presentable too.  It's be interesting in how I am learning the blog stuff but I do admit  that I starting to hang of it! This week I figured out  make my my own blog button, and thanks to my friend that made the cute little design! I just love it!!!

 Don't worry I haven't been slacking on the posts either.  I am  actually trying to have  multiple posts ready and lined up  so that you have  something to look forward for the week. My aim is to have at least 2-3 post  for the week.  So unless I get bogged down, this  blog  is going to be as active as it can be :)

New Mini Candle Sections at Etsy

 I am going to be opening a  Mini Spell Candle Section in my Etsy shop. One will say Mini Candle Sets and  one will say Mini Candles only.   The Mini Candle Candle Sets will have the recommended  oils that I feel works with the candles. The Mini Candles Only  will have no oil , so it will require you to select your own oil from the oil section or  perhaps you have your own oil you want  to use instead.

Basically, these  candles are  going to be the 4 inches tall and  I will give you two  candles of the same one. So for example if you order money  draw  candles , you will get two of them.  I also want to address  that  these candles are too small for stones  so I will only be  only putting the necessary oils and herbs in each candle.  You can still  give me your intentions for these candles or asked for a generalized one made for your needs. The choice is up to you. This is another alternative for everyone.

Now, here's the thing with mini candles. After testing them repeatedly,  I find these mini candles are great for little pick me ups.   I  feel they are good for mini spells so if you are needing just a  small dose of  energy for your spell work then this works wonders. However, I do not feel they will just be equivalent to my Original Spell Candles that are bigger.  Let  me provide  you an  example here,   Lets take that  black and white one in the picture. This candle will be my  mini  Transformation Candle.  If you light  two of  those mini transformation candles, it does not necessarily mean that  you will get the same effect of the  one Originial Transformation that I sell  online.   Th original candles are always going to have a better effect than  mini  candles simply because there is more energy to work with.

 I do  feel you can still get some effect with mini candles.  Another way  to do these  mini candles is to break them up in doses.  For example, let's say that you did do an original Transformation spell candle. Perhaps, it really was a bit too strong for you taste.  But yet you know that there is still more stuff that needs  to be released.  Well these mini ones are  great for little releases, especially if you already  done original Transformation candle first. Basically, the mini  candles will  keep that energy building for you but in small doses. Great follow up candles.  If you do not  burn the  original candles  listed first, you can  still use these. Just keep in mind, that  it will take a bit  longer to build that energy that you want to manifest with these small ones.   As with any  Candle magic, things take time to build and develop but once you get it down , its a lot of fun and you will  know to manifest the  positive  energy to work in your favor.   I am going try to put the mini candles up  starting  this week so check back to see if  your favorites are showing up! :)

Why Are Organic Candles Better?

For many years, I have learned how to  perform  candle magic from various types of candles. These  range from spiritual ritual candles like the figure candles, Santeria Candles  and  even  the  Angel candle glass  candles.  While these candles gave  me a bit of results, it was actually making genuine  organic  beeswax  candles that  got me to  really love candle making. When  I finally took a spell candle class in using beeswax, my perspective in spell magic completely changed. Candle making has become an inspiration to me.

I love the  fact that I make candles completely natural.  When I say this, I mean everything from the  beeswax to the organic herbs, and pure essential oils are in each candle.  I pride myself to make good quality candles. This is why I also  emphasize  in making custom ordered candles for my customers. How To Get Rid of Hiccups

Last night, I had  the hiccups really bad out of no where.  Being that it was  1:00am, the only  remedy I knew that  usually works for me to to swallow  a spoon full of sugar.  Now, I am thinking   of Mary Poppins lol.  I'm   love that song by the way.  Anyways,  I didn't want to have some sugar this late of the night.  So I finally  decided to Google  on  hiccups and I found this article  on  Squidoo. Basically, right after the  hiccup, I  need  to exhale and inhale where I am holding my breath. Then  swallow that air  slowly.   I must admit when I read the article, I  thought it was  too simple  for it to work.  The result  ended being it actually  worked.  The first two times  I did this technique it wasn't going away  but that was because I was laughing at  the concept while I  was doing it. But  I must admit when I took it seriously,  it started to  slowing  go away.  I will say it took me 3  attempts to get this  down... but it was gone.   This is technique really amazed me.  Now, I  can remember to this the next time  have  hiccups. I just thought I share this   link with you because it worked for me. 4th of July Buttermilk Pie

 My  first  attempt at  making  buttermilk  pie  for the family bbq.  It wasn't completely   flawless when I tried the  test  pie the night before because the bottom of the crust was  not  cooked all the way.  I  found out that   it was probably due to the cookie  sheet  I used. I was thinking it be eaiser to  take the pie out with a cookie sheet than  just directly out  of the oven.  Well my dad  told me  if the first pie  was having  problems its possible that  the cookie sheet was  blocking  the heat from going directly to the bottom of the pie.  It's probably why the  crust was not  fully cooked the first time.

So on a last minute attempt because both pies were  half way done, I  took out the pies  then I placed them back in  the oven on the rack.  I think I  was a bit nervous here because I  was not sure if  the  pies would be fully cooked.  My dad was  joking to me about how I always rely on the Universe to make my  desserts taste  good lol!!! Actually, its true because I was always  think of the  last minute things to create for the first time to family events.  I ended  up cooking the  pies  for an extra 30 minutes in oven compared to  what the  recipe stated, the buttermilk looked was already golden brown so I took it out. I  did pray over the  pies asking the universe to make it  delicious lol.  Mean while my mom's spirit was laughing and teasing me again  and I told my mom "Come on Mom, you're up there now so please make my  pie delicious!" ;)

The end result... a  perfect pie, crust came out beautifully the balance of cream fruit and custard  just worked.  Fresh heavy cream was the way to go. I dont like super sweet desserts so this really worked and my entire family loved it.  And you know what was super cute? A 10 year old girl at the party was  staring and waiting so  patiently for my pie.  My aunt gave her the first slice too. She was super happy, said it was delicious!  Heck she waited  to eat a slice before she  went up stairs to take a bath. Too bad  she fell asleep in the bath tub lol. Someone  had to wake her  up ;)

Anime Expo 2012

This  one has nothing to do with my  creations but I just thought I share some  photos  on FB  for  my  Anime  Expo. It was  great  even though i went  completely by myself I did  enjoy it.  I think for the first time I actually took the  time to  take  cos-players and they really put  effort into their  costumes.  Some characters were  really weird  but i found them interesting  enough to take them. So if you haven't  visit my facebook  page, check it out as i will have an  album  of the shots I took of them... Tell me what you think of their  costumes.

Otherwise, I  went on Sunday and  got to see  a concert. I  That was pretty good, i guess I was  waiting for the Fate Zero  Opening song.  She sounded  better than  the original song too...too bad that  I didn't know the other songs she was singing at the concert.

I also debated on either anime  music video contest or the Naruto Shippuden Live action so of course I went with the Live action Film... needless to say it was well worth the wait and  definitely something I  wish  people took the to do the work. Great  fight scenes all the way around but then they are looking for donations to continue the work which i understand since its  very costly in what they are they are trying to bring into the film.

My only complaint would be the fact i missed the voice actor i wanted to see from fate zero  Sadly, his panel  was  on  Saturday but nevertheless the two events I mainly went to were worth it.  Anyways,  I thought I show you a few pics here  and of course there is a whole album of face  book for you to enjoy, but here are a  couple of my favorites...  Anyone else  an  anime fan? And if anyone  is looking to get into anime  I  definitely  recommend Fate Zero which finished recently, a total of only 25   episodes but its definitely one of the best anime I have  seen to date!

Love Thyself More

The Love Thyself More candle is a combination of self love and healing energies all into one candle. White wax in the candle creates a healing energy that helps heal ourselves. Sometimes we are just way too hard on ourselves that we can't see how wonderful we are. In fact, we usually cant accept the beauty in our own self. When I first did this candle on myself I was a bit moody but I also came to the realization that I was hurting myself way too much and it was accepting the fact that I no longer needed to go there. After all, the past is the past, and if I want to change I needed to realize that I am in control of making these changes in myself. While it can be a bit intense for me, it actually lifts off the negative energy out my body. I tend to feel lighter and not worried about what others may think of me because in all honesty it really doesn't matter. What matters is what I think and what I think is best for me in the choices that I make for myself. It is my life , and I can create what I want but I have to believe in myself first before I can manifest anything I want in my life. If I don't believe in myself, how can others believe in me? How can others radiate to me if I don't see my own inner beauty? The main thing is whenever I need that pick me up of loving my own self more, I jump right into lighting this candle for myself. Over the course of lighting this candle more, I have noticed that I am able to be more honest with myself. Hence, I am not moody anymore when I light this candle. I appreciate the healing and self loving energies doing the work for me. I love myself and believe in myself completely.

Treat yourself better every day. See your inner beauty, and love everything about who you are. Even if its hard to release some of the negativity and have faith in your own self , this candle can help bring out the best in you. After all you deserve it!
