Shop Feature: Jets Conceptions

This week's shop feature is Jet's Conceptions. It's a jewelry store that specializes in  glass and metal beads. It seems she blesses the each  jewelry  that she makes for store which is really unique. So each piece of jewelry that you receive from her shop should be full of  positivity.  Here is a bit more on  her shop and her work  :)

1. How did you come up with the Name of your Shop?

I wanted it to be personal and let people to know a little about me right off the bat. So I took my name and added that it's my creations and abstract ideas for jewelry. A person's name is a very powerful and personal thing to know

2. Tell us a little bit about your shop and what you think makes it unique?
I use many different mediums in my jewelry. Stones, feathers, bones, anything I can get my hands on. I'm always on the lookout for new things to use. I don't limit myself to one style or medium because what's the fun in that? The world is a very diverse place and I like to think that I could create something for everyone and that's why almost everything that I make is customizable. From religious to macabre, I like to do it all.

3. What is your favorite item at the store and why?
Recently I made an earring/pendant set made from mink baculua and turquoise. Not many people know what a baculum is, but it's the bone in the penis of most placental mammals with the exception of hyenas, elephants, dolphins, marsupials, and several others. I happen to like this set because it has that sense of the macabre to it, but it's also very delicate and feminine looking. Though the bacula themselves are not delicate.

4. What inspires create your products?
Nature and my personal religious beliefs. All of the mediums I use are from nature. Again, bones, stones, feathers, metals. But I do on occasion use enameled metal for color in some rings I make. If I see a stone that has interesting bends in it then I can use wire to wrap it very fluidly like water, round curves like air, sharp bends like what you find on the earth, or curves and sharp bends like fire. That's how I see the elements in wire work. When it comes to my religious factor, that would be the Yggdrasil pendants I make, though more commonly known as the 'tree of life.' Being Norse Pagan, (Heathen) The Yggdrasil is a very important symbol to us. So that is my way of showing respect to my Gods.

6. What advice can you give for other sellers out there for their shop?

Don't limit yourself! Always try new things, because the worst thing that could happen is you're right back where you started. So you're not left off worse, but it would be a learning experience. If you thrive with new materials then you can create a lot of new things with them, as the possibilities are ALWAYS endless!

8. Describe us one positive event in your life in your life that you felt was a miracle to you or that you knew the Universe was there watching over you.
The moment I discovered my religious views. a little complicated to explain, but I always knew there was someone watching me, helping me, 'nudging' me, speaking to me, and there for me. For many years I had no idea who it was. I went through many short stints of many different belief systems but they never felt right. Then I discovered Norse Paganism and it clicked. Everything made sense and I could now put a name to who it was all these years that was watching me. When that happened, it turned my life around and sent me in a better direction in life.

9. What is your favorite vacation shop and why?
Well my favorite vacation spot would have to be in the pages of books. I don't really get to travel, so I get to escape into other worlds by going into the lives of characters on pages. That way I'm able to lose myself in different countries, expeditions, romances, fears, hunts, anything imaginable... And I'm always able to come back to the comfort of my own home without having to spend a dime on airfare.

 10. Anything else you like to share about you?
A bit about me- I'm a dreamer, I'm devoutly religious, I love my family (including my fur kids), and I'm passionate about what I do. I grew up in a small town with not a whole lot to offer it's inhabitants, and though I moved away a few times, I always came back home. There's something to be said for small town living. I think it can bring out the creative side out in someone when there's nothing left for you to do but find your own place in where you are.
